Son of Rambow
I was surprised by this one. The actors were excellent and the story was well-paced. The surrealism of the protagonist's imagination brought to life added a nice depth to the movie as did the subplot of the failure of a rigid religion to stifle the freedom and joy of childhood. Plus the social dynamic between the kids was hilarious!
Alice in Wonderland
A little Disney around the edges, but overall a fun film. The design was intense and so highly stylized - I was drooling! Pretty much every frame is an amazing still that would be poster-worthy. 3D is not necessary. Glad at least one director figured out how to edit a film under 2+hrs!
Fantastic Mr. Fox
You'd think with tons of banjo in the score I'd be in love with this movie! But, alas, in spite of a killer cast of Wes Anderson regulars and even a fun story, it fell short of my expectations. I'd say it was moderately enjoyable.
Sherlock Holmes
Pretty cinematography, great effects, it felt safe, yet engaging. The method of explaining everything kept my brain quiet where normally I'd be guessing who done it. Keep em coming!

The flying scenes were fun at the 3D IMAX experience. There was clearly a ton of work put into making this film and despite some over-the-top monents it was a good ride.
(500) Days of Summer
Great writing, nice graphics, solid performances. This movie manages to have a strong emotional impact with a minimal amount of information. Gordon-Levitt is carving out a notable body of work.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Gorgeous cinematography. A much less frantic Gambon. Not bad. As always I'm surprised by some of the choices made porting the book to film.

Just go hang out with your parents or grandparents instead of watching this movie.
